Hollywood Angus enjoyed success at this year's Sydney Royal, finishing as the third most Successful Angus Exhibitor. Hollywood Damage Control D11 repeated his Dubbo Beef Spec performance, being awarded Senior Champion Bull. At 22 months, Damage Control weighed 1052kg and scanned an EMA of 135. Hollywood Cheerleader E2 won the under 12 months heifer class, repeating the effort of her dam, Hollywood Cheerleader C5, who won the same class and Yearling Champion at 2008 Sydney Royal Angus Feature Breed Show. In group events, Hollywood won the Sire's Progeny with a bull and two females by our foundation herdsire, Eudunda Lochton W1, who also sired the second place group at the 2009 Sydney Royal. Hollywood was second in the Best Pair of Bulls, with Hollywood Damage Control D11 and Hollywood Desperado D80.

Winners of Best Two Bulls, Hollywood Casanova & Hollywood 24JR

Hollywood took a team of six bulls and one heifer to the Royal in 2009. Three bulls were awarded blue ribbons and two broad ribbons. Hollywood Chain Reaction C82 was 1st in Bull 15-18 mths. Hollywood Casanova C64 won the 18 months bull class and was awarded Reserve Junior Champion. In the senior classes, Hollywood 24JR C6 was 1st in bull 20-24 months and went on to be Reserve Senior Champion. The stud's only female entry, Hollywood Classic Burnette C18, was highly commended in the 19-20 months heifer class. Hollywood Stud beat 11 other entries to win the Abington Perpetual Trophy For best Two Bulls, and placed second in the Sire's Progeny with a group of three sired by Hollywood's foundation herdsire, Eudunda Lochton.

J&C Cheyenne A12 (J&C Cheyenne U4 x Vermilion Dateline 7078), Senior and Grand Champion Angus Female. Cheyenne was also Grand Champion Female at the Dubbo Beef Spectacular and Melbourne Royal in 2008.

Hollywood Cheerleader C5 (Hollywood Vanessa V14 x GAR Gridmaker), Yearling Champion

Hollywood took a team of five head to Sydney Royal for an exciting show at which Angus were the Feature Breed for 2008. J&C Cheyenne A12 repeated her Beef Spectacular success, winning Senior and Grand Champion Angus Female. Hollywood Cheerleader C5 won the Female 9-12 months class and went on to be awarded Female Yearling Champion. Hollywood Hy Chaparral B15 won the Female over 20 & not over 24 months. Hollywood Bond B11, placed 4th in a strong field of 18 bulls, and our senior cow, Forres Burnette X106, was Highly Commended.
